Adrian arrived about 6.30 last night, and we unloaded his car of all the stuff he’d brought (including plenty of food from home) at the bottom of the steps, before he went and parked the car in the village. This morning he was up and out to catch a train from Milton Keynes to London for a meeting.
The batteries were low this morning, so I came back into the marina by 9 to plug in and give them a charge. They’re three years old, but I’m hoping a few days of decent charge and decent use will see them behaving. Arriving back at the marina really upset the ducks who had colonised our jetty.
While I’ve been here I’ve also done washing, refilled the water tank, and made a shepherd’s pie for tonight.
Adrian is now on his way back, so when he gets here we’ll set off ahead of schedule on our September trip — so there’ll be another post along later about that.
